Add Details to Tasks in a Process

The Additional Details modal allows you to create fully defined, high-quality user stories, by entering text according to the template and fields provided.

To add details to tasks and decision points in a Process:

  1. Click the (…) on the task.

In the Additional Details window displayed, modify the relevant details, including:

“Actor” Field:

By default, tasks use a generic user as the actor (reflected both in Additional Details, as well as the user label in the Process Editor). When you select an actor artifact, its name replaces the default user label.

The actor wants to [Action]:

Text in this field will be used as the action part of the generated user story.  By default, this field is set to the label entered for the task, but you can overwrite the default with alternative text describing the work being done by the task.

So that the actor can [Objective]:

Text in this field will be used as the objective part of the generated user story.  By default this field is set to the title of the process, but you can overwrite the default with alternative text giving the objective of the work being done by the task.
