How to export .bprelease files from Blue Prism

Updated by Tony Higgins

Blueprint can import Blue Prism ".bprelease" files created by Blue Prism. This describes how to generate a .bprelease file using Blue Prism.

To Create a .bprelease File Using Blue Prism

  1. Open the Blue Prism instance that contains the automations you'd like to export
  2. Navigate to the Release Manager
  3. Create a new release by selecting File -> Export -> New Release
  4. Choose Create an adhoc Package for this Release
  5. Click Next
  6. Expand the Processes section and drag the Process you'd like to export to the right panel
Single Processes or entire folders may be dragged to the right panel to be exported.
  1. Right-click on the Process in the right panel and choose Select Dependencies to include all necessary components (processes and objects)
    1. Users do not need to include work queues, environment variables, or credentials
  2. Select all necessary components and click Apply Changes to confirm selection
To export multiple processes, return to Step 6 and continue once all intended items have been included.
  1. Click Next then enter a name for the release
  2. Click Next again to see the Release Notes dialog and click Next
  3. Click Browse to select a location and filename for the .bprelease file
  4. Click Next to generate the release file
  5. Select Finish when done

This will create a .bprelease file containing all selected Process pages and their dependencies.
