Copies Report

Copies vs. Duplicates

The Copies Report lists processes whose contents are identical. In the Copies Report all the processes determined to be identical are listed together in by a Group ID.

Copies are different from Duplicates.

Copies
Occurs when processes are imported into Blueprint from the same RPA tool and have the same contents. Blueprint determines this by comparing the Raw Data, COM Data and Index Field (i.e. Order of the Steps etc.) at action level.

The purpose of highlighting copies is to expose opportunities for consolidation to improve maintainability and quality.
Duplicates
Occurs when identical RPA code component is imported multiple times. Blueprint determines this by comparing its contents at the Process level. Each piece of content must be identical for the process to be designated as a duplicate.

The purpose of highlighting duplicates is to remove them from the Statistics Dashboard and Reports to ensure licenses are not charged multiple times for the same RPA component.
