Add and Label a Task in a Process

Updated by Chris Kosmopoulos

Tasks, or User Tasks, can be added anywhere in a process.  They represent actions performed by an actor, most commonly a human user.

To add and label a task:

  1. Click the add button to add tasks.
  2. The task is inserted and labeled with the default actor and action.
  3. To add details about the tasks:
  • Double-click and edit the action label in the task.

When you further configure the tasks via the Additional Detail window, values entered for Action will not overwrite what you enter here. For more information, see Add Details to Tasks in a Process article.
